Learn MoreIn celebration of International Children’s Day and the Day of the African Child, First Capital Bank organised socially impactful activities in the provinces where it has a physical presence – Maputo, Beira and Nampula. The initiatives took place in Maputo and Beira on 14 June, and will be held in Nampula on 28 June, with the aim of bringing joy and fun to children from local communities.
In Maputo and Beira, the events were held in collaboration with Projecto Esperança, while in Nampula, the support is directed to the Monastery Madre de Deus – Lar da Nazaré. In all locations, bank employees participate actively and voluntarily, contributing to ensure the children have a truly memorable experience.
The events offer a festive and lively atmosphere: clowns, mascot characters and lots of music set the tone for the day, ensuring smiles and fun for the little ones. In addition to entertainment, there is always room for a special educational moment, with the introduction of basic financial education concepts, through storytelling sessions that teach the importance of saving and money management in a playful way.
This being the second consecutive year of support to Projecto Esperança, the children showed their excitement and gratitude with special performances prepared for the bank’s staff. Songs and dances brought joy to the moment, creating an emotional and meaningful exchange between participants and reinforcing the positive impact of these initiatives.
“These activities reflect First Capital Bank’s ongoing commitment to creating a positive impact in the communities we serve. The genuine involvement of our staff is always essential to the success of these actions, and we are proud to celebrate these initiatives dedicated to childhood,” said Ana Russo, Head of Marketing and Communication at the bank.
With these initiatives, First Capital Bank reinforces its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, contributing to the well-being of children and the strengthening of the communities where it operates.
