FIRST CAPITAL BANK INTRODUCES NEW DIGITAL SOLUTIONS TO THE BUSINESS MARKET

On 1 October, in Maputo, First Capital Bank hosted the First Capital Bank Digital Experience, an event aimed at its clients and partners to showcase new digital solutions designed to simplify operations, reduce manual processes and improve business management efficiency. Four solutions were presented during the event: Till Integration, Host-to-Host, Internet Banking and First Mobile, giving participants hands-on experience through demonstrations and direct interaction with the Bank’s teams.

The initiative reflects First Capital Bank’s commitment to continuously developing and introducing digital solutions that address the specific needs of businesses, keeping pace with the evolution of their operating models and the ways in which they interact with the Bank.

“Digital transformation is changing the way businesses operate, and as a Bank, we want to keep pace with this evolution. For us, digitalisation is, above all, about simplifying processes, improving efficiency and making banking more convenient for businesses,” said João Rodrigues, CEO of First Capital Bank Mozambique.

One of the key highlights of the First Capital Bank Digital Experience was Till Integration, a pioneering solution in Mozambique that connects merchants’ sales systems with First Capital Bank’s POS terminals. With this solution, whenever a sale is recorded in the sales system, the corresponding amount is automatically sent to the POS terminal, eliminating the need for the operator to enter the amount manually. This makes the payment process faster and more secure, reduces the risk of errors and facilitates reconciliation between recorded sales and the corresponding POS transactions.

Host-to-Host was another key highlight of the initiative. This solution enables direct integration between a company’s management system and the Bank’s systems. It streamlines processes such as supplier payments, payroll processing and automatic account reconciliation, allowing businesses to reduce manual intervention in the management of their operations.

Particularly suited to organisations with high transaction volumes or recurring payments, the solution allows workflows to be configured according to each company’s needs and provides real-time responses and confirmations. In practice, this integration helps make financial processes more efficient, reduces the workload associated with manual tasks and strengthens operational control.

Internet Banking was also presented as a solution for managing business accounts securely, conveniently and entirely online. Through the platform, businesses can check balances and transactions, make payments, manage beneficiaries, approve transactions and monitor their financial operations in real time, without having to visit a branch.

The highlight of the event was the exclusive first presentation of First Mobile, First Capital Bank’s new mobile application and one of the latest additions to its digital offering. During the event, some participants also had the opportunity to download the application and explore its features in practice. With First Mobile, businesses can manage their accounts directly from their mobile phones, enjoying greater flexibility and convenience in monitoring their operations. Among the features showcased was the ability to approve or reject transactions directly from a mobile device, enabling faster decision-making and transaction execution.

The exclusive first presentation of First Mobile allowed participants to discover a new dimension of First Capital Bank’s digital banking experience, reinforcing the Bank’s commitment to solutions that keep pace with the mobility and decision-making needs of business managers and operations teams.

Beyond providing technology, First Capital Bank seeks to develop solutions that address specific challenges and create value for its clients. The First Capital Bank Digital Experience reflected this approach by combining solution presentations with practical demonstrations, enabling participants to explore the different tools firsthand and address their questions directly with the Bank’s teams.

Following the presentations, participants were invited to visit four experience stands, each dedicated to one of the solutions showcased — Till Integration, Host-to-Host, Internet Banking and First Mobile — where demonstrations illustrated how these tools can be used in the day-to-day operations of businesses. The event also included a Q&A session, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions and obtain further information directly from the Bank’s teams.
