Learn MoreFirst Capital Bank and Transcom – Sociedade de Formação, Consultoria e Auditoria em Transportes e Comunicações, S.A. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 12 August 2026, establishing the basis for a cooperation partnership in the areas of training and technical and professional development. The signing ceremony took place at First Capital Bank’s headquarters in Maputo.
The partnership aims to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions and create opportunities for collaboration in training, skills development and the preparation of young people for the labour market, involving ISUTC – Instituto Superior de Transportes e Telecomunicações and ITC – Instituto de Transportes e Comunicações, higher education and technical and vocational education institutions established by Transcom.
The signing of the MoU consolidates a cooperation relationship that First Capital Bank and Transcom, through ISUTC and ITC, have been developing over the past few years, based on the recognition of academic excellence, knowledge sharing and bringing students closer to the labour market. This cooperation includes the Bank’s support for recognising outstanding students at graduation ceremonies.
Under the MoU, Transcom undertakes to regularly communicate to First Capital Bank training opportunities, including undergraduate programmes, technical and vocational training, master’s programmes and executive education, as well as opportunities for academic and professional internships and the provision of consultancy and research services. The Parties may also collaborate on studies and research, training initiatives, seminars, workshops, roundtable discussions and other scientific, technical and business initiatives.
In turn, First Capital Bank will communicate available internship opportunities and the respective required profiles, participate in the candidate selection process and provide employability-focused training to selected recent graduates.
The partnership also provides special access conditions to training programmes for First Capital Bank employees and their family members, further strengthening opportunities for development and capacity building within the framework of cooperation between the institutions.
For First Capital Bank, the signing of this MoU represents an opportunity to strengthen its contribution to talent development and training, supporting the acquisition of skills relevant to the labour market and promoting closer links between the business sector and education and training institutions.
The MoU was signed by Dr João Rodrigues, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of First Capital Bank, and Prof. Dr José Leopoldo Nhampossa, General Director at ISUTC.
