As part of the International Children’s Day celebrations, observed on 1 June, First Capital Bank carried out a series of educational, recreational, and community outreach initiatives in Maputo, Beira, and Nampula, reinforcing its commitment to promoting the well-being and development of children in the communities where it operates.<\/p>\n
In Maputo, First Capital Bank organised an educational visit to Mozambikes, a company dedicated to providing bicycles that improve mobility, facilitate access to education, and create income-generating opportunities. The activity brought together the Bank’s employees’ children, children from Projecto Esperan\u00e7a, and children from Plataforma Makobo, fostering interaction among all participants while encouraging learning, sharing, and collaboration.<\/p>\n
During the visit, the children had the opportunity to tour the Mozambikes facilities, learn about the bicycle manufacturing and assembly process, and understand how the company’s work contributes directly to the development of rural communities. They also took part in practical activities designed to encourage teamwork, solidarity, and active participation in initiatives with a positive social impact.<\/p>\n
At the same time, the Bank also carried out community outreach initiatives in the provinces. In Beira, food hampers were donated to children supported by Projecto Esperan\u00e7a \u2013 Beira. The initiative also included social interaction, refreshments, and recreational activities, including entertainment by clowns, creating a festive and celebratory atmosphere.<\/p>\n
In Nampula, the activity took place on 20 June at the Madre de Deus Monastery and included the donation of food supplies, reinforcing First Capital Bank’s continued support for institutions that work directly with children in vulnerable situations.<\/p>\n
