This social responsibility initiative aims to provide support, foster closeness, and bring a sense of warmth, promoting acts of solidarity and humanism during the festive season. This year, the initiative was dedicated to the elderly, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to promoting well-being and social inclusion.

In Beira, the initiative took place at the Nhangau Elderly Support Centre, with the active participation of all employees from the local branch. Despite access challenges caused by the rainy season, the team received a warm welcome from the residents. Donations were handed over, including clothing, food and hygiene products, followed by a moment of social interaction that fostered engagement and closeness with the elderly.

In Nampula, branch employees carried out a solidarity visit to Nampula Central Hospital, with the aim of supporting hospitalised elderly patients. The initiative included the donation of clothing, food and essential items, providing moments of comfort and joy to the beneficiaries. The medical team highlighted the importance of this type of initiative and expressed interest in continuing the partnership with the bank.

In Maputo, the bank conducted a solidarity visit to the Nossa Senhora dos Desamparados Care Home, where various donations were delivered to support the elderly residents. The initiative included direct contributions from the bank, through the provision of food supplies and essential goods, as well as strong participation from employees, who donated clothing, footwear, diapers and other personal items.

According to the management of the care home, the donations will have a significant impact, particularly in a context where many residents had not received support over the past year. The team emphasised that the donated goods will be essential for the festive period and for ensuring continued support in the months ahead, highlighting the difference such initiatives can make in the lives of the elderly.

During the visit, bank employees emphasised in their remarks that the initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to communities and the active involvement of its professionals in social impact actions. They also noted that the visit provided moments of joy and well-being for the employees themselves, who experienced a different day, during which they were able to learn from the various talents—some renowned—within the care home, further reinforcing the value of human connection and solidarity during the festive season.

The First Capital Bank Solidarity Festivities form part of the institution’s broader social responsibility initiatives, aimed at promoting community well-being and reinforcing the bank’s commitment to sustainable social development. The initiative supporting the elderly symbolizes the bank’s mission to be an agent of positive change, delivering not only products and services but also social support to the communities in which it operates.

First Capital Bank held its traditional Solidarity Festivities in the cities of Maputo, Beira and…

[33

post-4869","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-corporate-social-responsibility
["GET
