As part of the celebration of World Savings Day, marked on October 31, First Capital Bank carried out several financial education initiatives in the cities of Maputo, Beira and Nampula, with the aim of raising awareness among children and clients about the importance of saving. The initiatives explained the concept of savings, its benefits, and encouraged the start of a conscious financial journey. During these activities, more than 400 piggy banks were distributed to children in schools as well as to clients in the bank\u2019s branches.<\/p>\n
As part of these initiatives, on October 31 the Bank visited Projecto Esperan\u00e7a in Marracuene (Maputo), where it delivered an educational and interactive talk on saving aimed at children, offering piggy banks to encourage saving from an early age. The session was interactive, as many of the children were already familiar with some financial education topics due to previous initiatives carried out by the Bank.<\/p>\n
In Beira and Nampula, the initiatives also included the distribution of piggy banks to the first clients visiting the branches on World Savings Day, along with educational talks on saving, as well as the distribution of piggy banks at Projecto Esperan\u00e7a and Mosteiro Madre de Deus \u2013 Lar da Nazar\u00e9, respectively.<\/p>\n
The financial education talks in Maputo, Beira and Nampula were delivered by First Capital Bank employees themselves, who shared knowledge and experiences in an accessible way for children. This active involvement of the team reinforces the importance of teaching savings concepts and responsible money management from an early age, while also demonstrating the Bank\u2019s commitment to promoting financial literacy across different age groups.<\/p>\n
